TIGERS Summer Camp
Week #1

Sometimes, you don't know what you're capable of until you try.  That's the powerful lesson our students learned when they took on this incredible self-portrait project.

It's been a busy few weeks at TIGERS!  Two weeks ago, our students recently took a trip to Frick Park to learn about lichens.  Thanks to GASP-PGH and Mr. Wes with Sense of Place Learning for providing such a unique experience!

 Last week, our students were back at it:  Working again with Mr. Wes from Sense of Place Learning, as well Nine Mile Run, we went on a search for macro invertebrates in our favorite park while conducting a water quality analysis.

TIGERS Goes to Camp Kon-O-Kwee (Creek Connections Symposium)

On Friday, April 17th our after school students presented their research projects at Camp Kon-O-Kwee along with dozens of schools from the region.  Students went fishing, learned about the Western PA habitat, and hiked the campgrounds.  We had a great day!
